Cal Speedway Video (My Priceless Moment) NOT FOR DIALUP

EDIT: Sorry guys. I had to yank the video link because some people cant read. I asked people not to link to it from other sites.
The bandwith got out of control. I can SEE where people come from to look at the videos..... People must not know that.

Link in question:
http://corner-carvers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21598

Please right click and save if you want to see it more than once. This is over 30 megs. Please do not post this link anywhere else because of bandwidth. (I need to find a way to convert it lower)

This is last weekends Sunday race. I managed to get a 1:57.1 (NO REAR WINGS NEEDED)

IT SURE WAS FUN!!!!!! I cant wait for the next race. It's amazing what some new parts and motor will do. As you can see I need more 5th gear. Shift light is 7300 RPM, rev limiter is 7500RPM.
I need an LSD badly. I'm researching them now.
ENJOY

Looks awesome, Chad. Maybe in a few years I can give you, Kev, and the Marks some competition.

That's awesome Chad. I especially like your camera angle where you can see what's in the rearview, you were really pulling away from the other cars out of the corners! Makes me want to build a 2.5 for my '72 project!

Thanks guys. I was very surprised also. I had to of caught the RSR sleeping or he was between shifts when the green flag came out.
I knew I had a winner when I tested it at the Street of Willow the week before. I had to break that motor in. Talk about being anxious, 3 sessions at 5000, 3 sessions at 6000, 2 sessions at 6500..... Then ZOOM, ZOOM 7500. I knew when doing the 6000 RPM sessions it was a rocket.
There are still a few more things I need to do. First is an LSD. You can see how giving it throttle in the corners is killing time. It will just spin one wheel. If I could get both wheels to drive that would be another second or two off the lap times. I do not want a Torque Biasing unit. Although that is way better than nothing. The torque biasing unit is great for guys in autocross, but a LSD would be better for road racing.
Chris- You just need to drive what you have and get the seat time. Do improvements over time. You will be up there in no time.
I would say the biggest improvement was the suspension and corner balancing (not to say the motor did not help). The car was planted and gave way better feedback. I could feel what the car was getting ready to do. I never had that feeling before. I always just had to hang on

*sniff* (wipes tear from eye) that was beautiful man, just beautiful!

When you went into that one corner too hot and then crossed up over and over again I was cheering!

Thanks Chris. Yeah, I went in a little hot. I was a bit excited also. I never had any of those guys behind me (unless they were passing me ) I was trying really hard.
It should be a very fun season.
More videos in a few weeks.

You could definitely benefit from an LSD though... All that wheel spin has got to be a handful! (especially with all tha great horsepower! woof woof!)

Great video. But you gotta go flat through the chicane

Thanks for the plug in the "credits".

That chicane is tricky. I normally would be full throttle in fourth.... But when I was in the lead, some how I got into 5th (funny how that happens).... I was flying. lol , With my old suspension I would of been in the tire barrier while in 5th.
My suspension is awesome now. Thanks Chuck. Also that cooler I got from you was perfect with the -16 adapters. I just had to fabricate new ducting, it worked like a charm. I had to REALLY push it to get it over 180 degrees. I think it only got to 190-200 degrees once during the weekend.

Chad - I saw the car at Streets of Willow a couple of weeks ago but ran in a different run group and didn't meet you (#178 86 Carrera). I really noticed how freely the engine revs and pulls hard. Mind sharing some of the engine specs with those of us saving our money for the future rebuild?

pmillikin-
Thanks for the compliments. The easiest way to find my specs (I'm feeling a little lazy watching the Rolex 24 recorded on my DVR) is to do a search for a 2.5L race motor in either the engine forum or technical forum. All the info in there. If you have any more questions just shoot me a PM.
The streets was a perfect place to break that engine in really well. Soooo many sessions.
