Silly (maybe) window net question
Ok, so I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to install this window net setup. I looked over pix in previous threads and pix of track cars, etc but I still have to ask this question - be gentle:
Does the buckle mech have to be attached at the top front? I've seen cars that had the release on the bottom, and they flipped the net up on the roof. Fabrication-wise, I think that might be easier to execute. |
Most organizations like the net to be buckled at the top because if you need to get out in a hurry, when you disconnect the net it drops down so you can get out much easier...

Maybe Thom is also concerned about easy egress when the car is upside down! :)
Seriously though, when you get it installed, post a pic or two if you don't mind. I need to do the same thing... |
I have seen a few where there is a release at the top and bottom, I have mine at the top.

A organization requires its latch at the top. Another requires one at the bottom. To make both happy --- to pass annual techs for the both organizations, I have at the both top and bottom.
