Removing AC Pump
Hello. I am in the process of trying to put together a 1986 944 race car. One thing I am hoping to do as one of the lightening concerns, is to remove all AC. However, the AC pump is actually the tensioner for the alternator. Heres my question. Is there a adjustable idler type unit to replace AC pump. Also, if I am able to accomplish this what belt size would work? Thanks for your sage wisdom. Big"

There are several AC delete brackets available , they move the Alternator where the AC compressor is now. Pretty straight forward.
You can even get a factory one . Do a search on AC delete.
