Willow Springs Feb 22 -- Cool, Clean and Fast
![]() My 911 is in for paint, so I'll be instructing and begging for rides. But the long term weather calls for sunshine and 65 degrees -- perfect go-fast weather for the fastest track in the West. Anyone else coming out? You can sign up here.

my car is at TRE right now getting prepped for the POC TT next weekend in Las Vegas. New clutch, fixed oil leaks, Wevo strut brace/monoball setup, fire suppression, cutoff switch and tow straps. Assuming I survive LV and have some cash left I might be up for a big track run, although I'd get there late (have to drop the boy off at school).
The car was fast last week at STS (15.8 CW w/o bowl). I'm hoping to slide into the 30's at big track |

Hmm, this event is a ways off but I swear I already feel a virus developing. Will have to check the calendar and see if I can afford to catch this virus...

Jack,
Not too sure about that line through turn 3 you have drawn there And you need a big jagged notch in turn 6 where my car hits that whoopty-do and flat shifts about 6-8" straight left![]() That 2nd lap you were following me... I saw you got outta the throttle when I hit that at near WOT coming out... I thought I might not be able to hang on either but just put the throttle back down when she settled back to ground and off we went. That was fun though and thanks for the tow-around after that. And the ride earlier. Car is down to the ground (well on jackstands...) at the chassis shop. He told me he started cutting everything out of the center of the car today. Hopefully be able to start the full tube chassis by end of this week. Look forward to running with you guys again in a few months! Here is the car as of last Friday ![]()

well.....
I had oil leaks that were getting really bad. Plus the clutch was on its last legs...starting to grind going into 3rd. So at that point it makes sense to drop the engine to do the clutch and fix the oil leaks. And it needed tune/valve adjust, so that too. But while its out, why not go to a lightweight flywheel. The safety stuff is just things I'll need anyway. The strut brace and monoballs...hmm...blame Tyson. His fault. Next will be t-bars, revalved shocks, and maybe wider wheels. But then I'm done. No, really...and I have to wait awhile for my budget to heal before doing that stuff. |

We have 8 driver who have registered and paid for the February 22nd event. 10 others have sent emails in letting us know they are a strong maybes. We have to let the track know today if the event is on or off. This is the last chance to keep this event from being canceled. There is ZERO chance of rain, the forecast indicates 63 and sunny! This will be a great day at the track. We can usually count on a few drivers showing up unannounced to the track and as usual, Kailo will pickup some of the costs if we are a little short. So we need at least 15 people to register today before 3:00 pm or we will have to cancel the event.

Johnny - I'm 90% there. I just can't totally commit up front with my erratic work schedule. But I've already notified everyone in the office. So, you have one more driver.

Sorry to hear this. I wish I was able to be a "confirmed" driver but my work load has tripled over the last month (good thing) which leaves very little time for play (bad thing). I am hoping things settle a little bit before summer so I can make some events in the second half of '06.
Todd, STEP AWAY FROM THE TRACK!!! You freakin junky ![]()
