Status Brand Race Seat

Any one have any experience or input on these ? I was looking at their Laguna model.

Then again my race seat is an aluminum Kirkey I got for $40.

The Laguna looks similar to the Recaro Pole Position and at a similar price point (for the FRP version). The web site does not provide any information on certification. Recaro seats are FIA rated so you do not need a seat back brace to race with them. I would want an FIA rated seat (or SFI, but at least some rating).

While you can get any type of seat for DE, I've found that getting something that also allows for racing can help (because you don't have to buy a replacement when/if you start racing). This may not apply to you, but you may want to consider it.

I also wonder about the memory foam they use and its flame resistance.
