Patrick Long at VARA Event

Well one Mr Lucky Chad Plavan had the opportunity to have Patrick Long drive his car (Chads' Car) in the 2 Hour Enduro at willow springs this past weekend.

It was great. Since I was Co Driving with Chad's cousin JP Plavan, when it was time for the driver change I got to go head to head with Patrick. Now that was fun. Looking at my front window and knowing I was chasing Patrick Long was prety cool. Then to look out me rear view mirror and see him right on my ass was also pretty cool. We were both battling for the lead of the race. However when our throttle cable broke (Boat cable snapped) our race was over. I got to sit and watch Patrcik work his magic until he ran out of gas.

Then we all sat around and had Margaritas after the race. Pretty cool to talk to him. Very down to earth young man. I was very impressed with how humble he is.

I am sure Chad will respond to this VERY SOON with some pictures and his own story.

Oh yeah, I was able to get down to a 1:32.6 with old tires..

I KNEW they would run out of fuel. Mark and I would have won the Enduro overall if not for that damn throttle cable. Oh Well. That's racin' I guess.

GREAT fun 'till it broke. Thanks for driving with me Mark.

Marky Mark you were flying on Sunday! My crap tires have had it. I should of had Patrick sign the tires! Minkoff figured out his brakes and now we have to deal with him too!

Great weekend. Mark- the video/story is in the main forum here.

He waved you by to learn turn 8 and 9 just like he said.
I still can't sleep.

My "Make-a-Wish" came true. However no one told me I'm dying. Patrick Long (LONG)

Thanks for the kudos. It feels great to have a car under me again, its been a while. It was a great weekend and I am looking forward to BW, hell I may run the whole season.
Mark Scott (vintage racer) will be very difficult to deal with.
Does his car ever break? Here is a shot of Mr. Long and you.
