DE in the southeast

(EDIT: meant to comment on "Nube : Please Advise") Glad this thread was resurrected! I'm dying to do a DE (Post-COVID of course), it looks like Peach State region is my closest option , since I live in Nashville. Any advice for someone who wants to do DE in Atlanta or Birmingham?

Only generic advice.
Pick a track and just do it! Pick a club that provides in car instruction. A weekend is better than a single day event.

Keep your car stock for the first outing. Even all season tires are fine. Actually, might be ideal. Focus on learning, having fun, and feeling the car. Not lap times or being fast.
