Talking I thought porsche drivers had dignity

Hey everyone,
This video was recently brought to my attention by one of my customers and friends who drives a Honda and constantly makes fun of me for diving Porsches... of course I lovingly refer to him as Vtak boy so....

Now, we're all guilty of doing stupid things when we don't know someone is looking... Personally I have a favorite song I sing to myself whenever I race at VIR... it helps me keep time, and wait to brake until the last minute... however... whoever is in this vid, is a f*cking PSYCHO!!! Lol, I cried I was laughing so hard when I watched it....

btw, I seriously hope the guy in this vid is not a pelican, only because I've just called him a psycho

just watch... omg it's hillarious

I saw that one recently. The guy in the Mustang is the Porsche drivers brother. Oddly that kinda explains things.

Unlike women, a race car is an inanimate object. Therefore it must, eventually, respond to reason.

That does kinda ruin the psychoticness of the vid and it does oddly kind of explain things. Still, it bothers me that any solo approved driver would act like that on track... and on camera no less.

Hilarious. He was probably asked by somebody why he never said anything on his videos. I get that all the time, and have sometimes thought about what kind of narration I would do, but I always wind up being silent, and focusing on the driving. It looks like he was just goofing off. Great stuff.

I had a friend like that. He was the greatest guy ever, but if we were horsing around he would get that same exact maniacal laugh. It was always just in good fun.

That guy in the Porsche did slow down and check on the guy in the Mustang before he launched into his crazy laugh.

To be able to say all that and drive at the same time... now that's talent!!!

I have come across this clip in another thread (or maybe forum, I don't remember). It's hillarious. What I want to see is the video from the Mustang. Could be even funnier.

Too funny! Dubbed? It made me think about the second or third time I drove on a racetrack. Blackhawk Farms with Milwaukee PCA in '89 or so. I had a stock 944. We had only a few tricked out cars, including what I vaguely recall was a 5 liter Mustang. I remember the driver was a little boastful and cocky. It had rained not too long before the event, so everyone had extra incentive to stay on the track.

Well the cocky Mustang driver caused a delay by winding up way off track in a heap of mud. Turns out he was "dicing' (at a DE?) with some 911 and ran out of brakes. Go figure.

I remember people were a little pissed because a Mustang was costing us track time at a PCA event. I also remember my own thoughts which were that hopefully the fellow learned a lesson about his equipment.

Yeah, losing time is never fun. I instruct for Seat-Time Performance Driving Days, and I remember the first one I ever did, Everyone got pissed that they were running a DE group, Solo, Test and Tune, and Advanced.

Well, Advanced was awesome. It was for all of us instructors who had race licenses and really fast cars, we had full course passing, and got a lot of leeway to do some crazy stuff. Lol, I remember going around turn 5 @ Roebling side by side with a 993TT once... to our credit, we've never had a single accident in that group, and very few off track excursions. Not one incident where a car has been damaged, however.

Anyway, everyone got pissed at the Test and Tune group the first time I went to a Seat Time because it consisted of one car. When I push it in my RSA at Roebling I usually turn 1:20s or so... this guy was in a NA Subaru Impreza and turning 1:38s. While everyone just stood around for 20 minutes watching him go slower than some of our students, and in a full race car. Lol, hasn't happened since, now if they run a test and tune, the cars are blisteringly fast, they're usually doing One Lap practice starts etc... and Instructors are usually so tired we just either run in T&T or Advanced anyway depending on when we've got a student.

Sorry Jon I must reveal your identity--JonT. Not a psycho--actually a great driver and a avid pelican contributor. This is the story:

Little brother decides he wants to buy a track car. Purchases a built Saleen Mustang with 500 h.p. The 3.6 in his mirror won't go away and it just happens to be his brother with tape rolling. Approaches the turn hot because he was occupied with mirror watching not the approaching bend in the road.

Jon's plan was to add the verbal commentary as a joke. This was not a planned spin. Definitely a classic! Sorry Jon you are officially exposed.

P.S. This was not dubbed--actual footage.
