IRDC and ICSCC Racing?
Looks like I'm heading down this weekend to work corners for an IRDC race at Pacific Raceways near Seattle.
I've been looking at groups to possibly race with at some point in the future. I'm currently a lower intermediate kind of solo guy with the local clubs doing DE's. I'd like to find something for a novice to start with that requires minimal car prep beyond what I've currently got which is a pretty well set up 83 SC with a 3.2 transplant, Fordahl suspension, etc. Anyone racing with an ICSCC member club? I did a search and didn't see much of anything related to them.

Hi Jerry,
I race my 968 with Conference. The novice program is very good in my opinion. It is a good introduction to wheel to wheel racing. I like Conference because there are typically good sized grids and there is almost always someone turning a similar lap time to race with. Having a 12 race championship run at most tracks in the area is also cool. Working corners at a race is a good experience and thanks for doing it. Have fun. I won't be there as my car is still recovering from a brush with the wall in Portland. Eric |
