These are some picutres of two girls - Sarah (6), and Anna (3). The first picture is Sarah doing her best "Stig" impersonation. They are practicing for the 2nd annual kids pedal car race at Autobahn the weekend after next. It's part of NASA's family day event held each year. Come join us for some great racing, and bring your kids!

I'll second Eric. Last year they had a craft tent up with tons of activities fro the kids. Racecar decorating, airplaines, signs, etc...
There is a party Satuday evening and lots of other activities... ...and some good racing too! Stop by and say hi. Both 944 spec and cup as well as German Touring Series will have some good showings and plenty of close racing!

Pssst - keep VR away from them... LOL
and they are adorable. They can start autocrossing at 16 -- and there are a few DEs that will allow them in at that age also -- as you already are aware we do self-promote - but with a smile. (And don't forget NASA does too.) |

Looks interesting. Unfortunately not in my neck of the woods. We may start with go carts, but for now, I like that they get some exercise with their driving. I think the battery powered "Barbie-mobiles" are a menace - they lead to fat kids and injuries. As a small town doc, I see the results of those things too often. |

One of our friends started his daughter at age 14 Karting. It is a great father/daughter hobby and they have so much fun at it. She is becoming a good little driver - and now, she'll be 16 in November, and I expect her to come to our DE to participate.
Things to think about and save up for in the future. Enjoy her now. I can understand how you feel - nice to know you are conscientous about her safety. I'm with a group that believes in the safety of all, not the fun of one. Let's keep them all out of the emergency rooms! Best of luck to you helping them grow up. We need some in the next generation that have their heads on their shoulders... |
