For my fellow DE track rats that might be thinking about coming down and bringing your wife/girlfriend... Watkins Glen now has a new (read VERY NICE) hotel downtown overlooking Seneca Lake with an excellent restaurant.
The event is Monday (Columbus Day) and Tuesday, October 13 and 14, 2008 so extend your long weekend in the best way possible.

This DE has a GREAT reputation for fun and excellent track time with instructors willing to help you learn the track or find some of the nuggets that help you get around faster. Novice and Intermediate drivers get classroom time with a skilled and affable instructor who has years of race and DE laps at this Historic circuit. Come and see why this place still brings back fond memories from racings greatest drivers from Formula 1 to Sports cars of all classes. Watkins Glen, any time of year, is an awesome experience.
