POC STS event January 23rd & 24th

You can now register for the upcoming POC STS event at The Streets of Willow. Saturday is the Driver's Clinic and Sunday is STS #1. Start the new year with a great driving experience! Check it out at ::Porsche Owners Club::

Signed-up today. Coordinating how to get my car number and license re-instated... Still plenty to do including retrieving my trailer from storage and making sure it's roadworthy.

The car itself is in great shape but I have to take care of a few fairly small things.

Yikes, my car is in V2 now! I have my work cut out for me with my skinny tires and no aero. Good thing I'm not in it for the big prize money

I'm running Time Trial this year, so no STS events for me... but... I am going to get my instructor license this year... so maybe I can instruct at some of the later events!

If you have a STS License and you wish to have it reinstated, chances are it can be accomplished with a check ride. Check in with Dave Gardner and let him know you need a check ride.

You can use a 700 number for the STS and don't need a permanent number until you go Time Trialing...however if you want your old number back, drop me an e-mail
mfschacht@gmail.com I will be the person issuing new numbers and resuscitating old one, if they are still available. If not available (snapped up by another member?), then I work with you to get you a number that you want. You may not get your first choice...but maybe 2nd or 3rd, maybe 1st? Who knows?

I see that Sandy and Andrew will be there, the usual suspects. I'll be there for Saturday to instruct, maybe Sunday if I can talk myself into the 3 1/2 hour tow.

Thanks for the info. I think I am all set as I've checked with Laurie, Dave Gardener and Steve Parker on my various questions. Dave said he'll set up a check ride with an instructor, which is fine by me as long as they fit in my car, LOL. Laurie said my last-used number (673) has not been re-issued but I'll coordinate with you to get a number figured out.

I may well re-join this year (after a year off with the POC). The events look interesting. I'll likely not make the first STS event because I work that day and my fronts need replacing after flat spotting them badly at the last autocross event.
