Question on Suspension Upgrade for 1993 968

I have a stock 1993 968 (w/o M030 sway bar) that I am setting up for the track and street use, probably 8-10 DEs per year. I am going to upgrade the suspension and would like to know what the front and rear coil tension rates should be for this car. My driving skill is intermediate with an eye on the higher run groups. I'll probably be running Koni adjustable shocks in front and rear.

Thanks for the help...

With Koni shocks you can only run about 400lbs front spring rate and max of 30 mm rear t-bars. I run 350lbs/30 mm on my 944 race car and that works well. However it is only 2600lbs with me in it and is never street driven. I would not like this car in the street. With a full interior at 3200lbs with driver these spring rates might be ok.

If you want more spring rate you will need to change the shocks or least custom valve them.

+1 on M758's advice - surely has more experience than I but I'm very happy with my setup:

If you take the rear apart, you'll quickly realize you don't want to do it too often. With that in mind I put coilovers on the rear, too, (400#f/500#r) along with polybronze spring plate bearings and delrin everywhere else. 30mm(f)/19mm(r) anti-roll.

Thanks...was thinking 400f/500r. a few more questions...

What size wheels and tires are you running? I will be using 888s on 245/50/16 rear, 225/45/16 front

What alignment setting do you have with that set up?

How does your car feel on the street?

I'm not that concerned about street feel, but will be driving about 80 miles to and from events plus the wife will drive the car now and then so it has to be bearable.
