Autocross in SoCal
Hello,
I'm new to this group and have seen some great posts so far! Thank You!!! Ok, my question is about finding autocross events in the Southern Cal area. Particularly OC & East or South. Any help is much appreciated. Thank You all! K |

The next event is this Sunday with Porsche Club of America - Orange Coast Region at The Great Park in Irvine, formerly the El Toro airbase . I believe the event is sold out already though...
Check PCA - Orange Coast Region for the upcoming events. |

You may be interested to come check-out the POC "short track" (PDS) event at Streets of Willow next weekend 6/18-19. It's not autocross but is similarly a tight, technical track layout. Willow Springs is open to spectators; there's typically a waiver & $10 charge at the gate which is good all weekend.

We are a bit farther south but have great AX events in San Diego. Check them out at Porsche Club of America | San Diego Region under the "events" tab.

If you want to get a lot of driving time (and who doesn't?), then the Porsche Owners Club (::Porsche Owners Club::) is the place to go in SoCal.
I joined the Performance Driving Series (PDS) in Feb and will have done 9 track days in five months (after this weekend). PDS has 9 more events scheduled for the remainder of 2011 and a few other events where you can drive the same track as the Cup racers (in a separate PDS group) so there is lots of opportunity on a variety of tracks. Great instructors are provided at no charge. Very affordable with tons of driving time. POC is a great group of people who are very friendly and quick to help in any way possible. Website has good info (click on DE/PDS Info) or just drive up to SoW this weekend and check it (us) out.
