Undercoating
Hi,
I have almost finished removing all of my undercoating. I have started to paint it with Por-15. I was hoping for some advice; should I put anything else over the Por-15? I want to keep the car light. I have heard of people using truck bed liner. My fenders/quarters are fiberglass. Thanks for any assistance. |

No offense, but why remove the undercoating to remove weight only to add bed liner back? My bed liner weighs more than the undercoat.
My car's tub is painted only my body work is fiberglass. The fiberglass will get 'stars' in the paint around the wheel well due to hot stones and stuff hitting hit as it's flung off the tires. My view is it doesn't matter on a track car. I'm 50 lbs over the weight limit for my class, so I have no interest in adding any weight I don't need to. If you're under weight, then you can worry about beauty.

Sounds good. I will leave it. There is a lot of undercoating from the factory, perhaps a thin undercoating could be applied, but I will leave it.
THANKS! |
