looking for source of slotted rear rotors on 79 930 turbo

Guys,
Its time to replace the cross drilled rear rotors on my 1979 930 and I am looking for a source of slotted rear rotors to replace them with.

I track the car a lot and am only replacing them because they are cracking out between the holes versus actually wearing them down.

Can anyone give me a source for these parts?

thanks,
Fred

I bought 79 930 brakes from steve weiner / rennsport systems. The parts I got were drilled, but I would think he could help you with slotted too.

Fred,

If you find something, let me know. I have been unable to find any decent solution for rear 930 brake setups. I would prefer a solution that involves separate hats and rotors, but I would take a slotted one piece design over the stock cross-drilled parts.

Thanks,

Scott

Give VCI a call. Doug has been making custom brake setups for early Porsches for a long time. I believe he offers brakes with separate hats, floating or non-floating, and last I knew was using Coleman rotors so replacement rotors are reasonably priced.

Send one of your used rear rotors to Coleman Racing and they will make you slotted rotors and mounting hats.

yes but I don't want to lose the functionality of the e-brake.

You guys know if these mounting hats will still allow the e-brake to work?

Fred

VCI has many years of Porsche-specific experience. I'm sure Doug can help you out.
