Porsche Crest 1989 911 widebody backdate coupe in Los Angeles

This is not a "no stories" car! I bought it sight-unseen and found that it didn't drive right when I took delivery. I showed it to a few good shops near LA and discovered chassis damage from when the car had been hit in the front. I wound up taking the car to John Esposito's restoration shop. They straightened and repaired everything on a Celette bench at a cost of about ten grand (I have a piece of paper for that). The car got new Turbo tie-rods and ball joints, and was aligned and corner balanced at the time.

The car now drives as it should. Steering is light and direct, the car doesn't wander at high speed, the brakes stop strong and straight, and the motor pulls a symphony to redline. It starts without hesitation, and has never left a drop of fluid on the ground. The motor is allegedly an '87 that was rebuilt. I do not have records for engine work, but I do have some leakdown and compression numbers from the prior sale. The car passes California smog with no winks, nudges, tricks, or sketchy shops.

While it's no pristine creampuff, it is a rust-free G50 coupe with the heavy lifting of a widebody backdate conversion completed. This was going to be my "dead man's" car that I would enjoy and modify to taste over time, but my heart sunk the day I took delivery and it just won't seem to come back up. During the months the car was in the shop, I got pretty deep into an EV conversion project, and I could really use the garage space. My loss is your gain and all that!

Get in touch! Though I don't know much about the history of the car, I'll tell you everything that I do. It is currently registered and insured in my name with a clean California title. I'm asking $55k.
