Having just sold one of these, I can say this is a good deal. No affiliation with seller, blah, blah, blah.

Thanks for the good word Chris.
If anyone is not familiar with these cars, this is built by Vintage, not Beck. It is built on a tube chassis, not a ladder frame and has a coilover rear susp. The motor was built by CB performance in CA and I have an engine dyno from when it was built. It weighs about 1300 lbs. so it is very quick.
I am a private owner, not a dealer. I like to try something new every year, so this is why I am selling it. I would be interested in a trade possibly for a 930 Turbo because I haven't owned one yet and it is on my short list to own someday.
If you do some research on Vintage Spyders in CA, you will find that to order this same car will cost over my asking price and you will have to find a way to register it as a '56. Mine is titled as a '56 so you can get antique plates and pay no sales tax. I also insure it through Grundy for under $200/yr. Last but not least, the waitlist for a new Vintage Spyder is about 1.5 years at the earliest.
Because of a growing family, I want a car with some back seats. If you have something of interest in trade let me know. I am also looking for a '70's Aston Martin V8, Ferrari Mondial or 308 GT4, or as I mentioned before, a 930. Would also consider a nice early 911 or SC that has been given an RS look.

The Beck's on EBAY are base models. I can call and get a Beck today for $22,000. For that you get a base model with a 1.9l motor. The Vintage Spyder has a base of about 23,500. Options add up: bigger motor($1500), 911 cooling($1200), painted black darts($750), Nardi wheel($300?), drum/disc brake set-up($750?), roll bar(?), etc....
The difference between the two is subject to opinion and is heavily debated on the Spyder forums. Personally, I like the tube chassis and the coilover rear susp. I also think that Vintage has a better fit/finish with some of the details. It's a matter opinion and each individual must decide for themselves.
Call today and order a Beck and you will see it in a few weeks. Call today to order a Vintage and you will wait at least 1.5 years.

If anyone tried to email me about the car and I did not return it, please do so again. I was bombarded with 400+ emails a day from the stupid virus all week and started deleting 100+ at a time. A personal email may have slipped by.

Nothing wrong with it....no accidents, original paint....just looking to do
something different.

Value....well a nice STOCK 83 cab goes for 19-22. Then add the low mileage,
the 3.6 conversion, and the other mods.

A 3.6 conversion can run 15K.

Mike
I thought it over and decided that I really will need AC with the next car because I will use it to occasionally cart the family around, and Louisville weather is not as open top friendly as S.B.
Thanks for the interest
