1977 911S 2.7 for sale

So it comes down to this. With the new wife and the baby on the way, the hammer comes down on the porsche project. This will not be the end. In the coming year I will be in the market for a 993 but for now the 911 needs to go to make room for the purchase of the dreaded family car.
So now to the details. Paint has a had a respray and the interior needs help. The carpet has been replaced and is not bad at all but the seals both windows are cracking and the headliner is in need of help. The dash is cracked as well as the seats. In addition the drivers side door has gone through some cheap repair and the paint is peeling from the cracked bondo job. I however have a new drivers door skin that will be included with the car. Also the drivers side window isnt working but the switch is fine and you can hear the motor start to actuate so I believe it can be resurected. The sunroof also wasnt working so I replaced the switch and the motor turns but the cables have rusted in their shafts.
Now for the good news, the car runs great. The engine was rebuilt in 93 by a shop in LA. During the rebuild, which I have full documentation of, the head studs were replaced, an 11-blade fan, carrera tensioners, turbo valve covers were included. Also the case was timecerted I belive. I have no idea how many miles is on the engine but I can tell you that for the last 5 years it hasnt been registered so it cant be that many. The transmission was also rebuilt relatively recently and I have the paperwork for that too. All the shift linkage is in good condition and the clutch is very tight. I have personally replaced the CD box with an msd unit and coil. All the original connections were not compromised and can be returned to stock very easily. New rotor, points, and cap, and the wires are on order and will be included with the purchase price. The engine leaks a little but nothing out of the ordinary. I have also replaced the fan belt with a new one. In addition I will include a CIS tester kit with the purchase price. The car also will not come with wheels worthy of driving anywhere. My asking price is $8000 obo. Pictures will be coming soon because the digital camera is MIA. Give me a call if you wish to test drive pr talk about the car at 831-588-6010. Or you can e-mail me at porsche_dave@pcarfanatic.com or pm me. Hope I can find a good home for my baby.
David

I can take some pics of the underbody I might need a few days, because of upcoming crazy work schedual.
The smog and registration are currently in the works. I have paid for all the registration but the smog is in process. This past weekend I just finished a complete ignition system rebuild so it is off to the smog guy early this week. The title of the car was technically a lein sale from the previous owner but I worked out all the kinks and every thing is on the level. No salvage here at all. E-mail me at David@thegravengroup.com if you have more inquiries or if you want to drop by and see the car. You could always call on the cell if you like.

Here's the new update. I had an issue with the smog, the erg valve was clogged. I cleaned it out and it passed quite easily. In addition I purchased a set of 16x7 rims without tires that I will include in the auction. The going price is now $8000.

The car isnt driveable. There are fuch wheels included too but they dont include tires. There are trashy wheels that are included with tires but they are in no condition to be driven on at all. I am willing to split the shipping of the vehicle if you want to do a transport situation. There is also the option of if you want to spend the money on tires right now I will use my brother-in-law connection at Sear's automotive and get you a good price on whatever tires you want. Hope this is helpful.

David,

I would still be interested, but I just signed a deal for a 944. I may know someone who could be interested, and I sent him a link to your listing. Good luck with your sell.

Thanks

Kris
