WTB: Early 911!!

I am looking for a '69-'72 911s,e, or possibly T. Coupe or sunroof!!! No targa.

I am not looking for a perfect original but one that is in good to fair condition andwill require some work. After reading the article on Freeman Thomas's '69E in this months Excellence I think that is a great target for many.

Does anyone know what case Thomas started with to achieve the 2.8 liters? I don't think a 2.0 from the standard E could expand that much.. But heck I don't know!!!!!

Any info on cars and thomas's project would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Best, bulletproof build from an aluminum case but most build a 2.8L from a 2.7L case. Use G80's if you want to 'wake it up'.
Turns a 914 into a MONSTER car ... don't forget BIG brakes. Stay with 40IDA's if you want bottom end 'grunt' acceleration.

Good luck ...

72 911 for sale SUNROOF T

Hello, I saw your post for a 911 search. I have a 72 911, unmolested really. It is a T with sunroof and AC! The alternator is off and the compressor is in the front trunk. It shows 36,000 or so, and might be original. I am not sure what this car is worth, and was thinking in the 5K range. It is plum purple, with one repaint...located in Georgia. It did run before parked, and has little little rust. Let me know if this is of interest to you.

If you're not a targa hater... (edit: just reread your post "no targas" nevermind!)

My car is for sale and has a 3.0 with PMOs/HPX ignition/SSI exhaust.

Hard work is done, needs some work to finish.
