FS 1972 911T Targa

Must sell. Daddy has to eat!

Car VIN: 9112110571
Engine: 6121226

The good:
No structural rust
Dash is in perfect condition
New front pan
New front struts
New tie rod ends
Rebuilt brake calipers
s/s brake lines
Rear turbo t-bars
Adj spring plates
Poly bushings
Street performance alignment (car handles AWESOME!!)

The bad:
Needs door pockets
Speedo doesn't work

The ugly:
Some minor surface rust, a couple of spots smaller than a dime.
Not so good touch up jobs, barely noticable from 10'.

For more pictures and details, email:

I just came across your posting again. I must be getting old because I think that I contacted you about this a few weeks ago, but don't remember your reply.

Still available? Any other pics?

It's fiberglass. But if you buy the car I will throw in a steel one!

No problem, I can let it go for $10k. And I'll even throw in a car! Just kidding. No, it's actually for another project. I just saw one in the classifieds section though. Good luck!

Sorry, the 73 isn't for sale. You probably wouldn't want it anyway. It isn't close to original. Interior is gutted, and suspension and brakes have been upgraded for track duty.

Yea, I'm sorry. I must have deleted it.

$10k/obo.

The car is in pretty sweet shape. I've been through most of it already, but it still needs somebody to take it to the next level. I would consider it a driving resto.

Come on somebody, daddy needs to eat!

Yea, I'm kinda getting the feeling this car would have sold already if it was a coupe. It could easily be converted to a coupe, just some minor welding.

Damn!!! Why are they always Targa's!

Because coupes are a strong "Buy and Hold" right now.
Very few good examples are coming to market recently.

This looks like a GREAT driver, or painless light resto project. BK, I think when the weather gets warmer, you're going to move this car no problem. I showed the wife these pics last night and tried to get her to go for it - she loved the car, but is going to stick with her Mustang 'vert.

Thanks Dave. That's exactly what she is, a driver. Most of the heavy lifting has been done already, it's mostly cosmetics from here. But she'll start up everytime and run all day.

I originally built her for autocrossing. I lowered her, upgraded the rear torsion bars, added SC spring plates and poly bushings. I did a couple of track days and several autocrosses and she runs and handles pretty well.

She is currently on ebay at $7k. Almost at my reserve. Somebody is going to get a great deal. These cars are only going up in value, especially with MFI.
