1973 911 E For Sale

1973 Porsche 911 E Targa
VIN: 9113210141
Engine: Original 2.4L Six Cylinder with original Mechanical Fuel Injection
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual
Mileage: 116,000
"S" Trim and guages Adjustable Koni's front and rear Weltmeister adj front sway bar
Lthr Sqr Back seats (need re-cover) SSI stainless steel heat exchangers Original S steel front bumper Original Blaupunkt AM/FM radio Lower Turbo Valve Covers Rear Window Defogger
A/C (removed from car)
Yes, this is a '73. I removed bumperettes (didnt like the look), and replaced with '72 bumperettes. Original color was silver. Glass out, fender off, doors off repaint black in 1985.

Matching numbers.
Good strong runner. Smooth idle, acceleration etc. Wired for foglights including original factory switch. All guages work perfectly. Less than 20k miles on professional engine rebuild (Dave Cooke at Rick Hill Imports, Kingsport, TN). Current engine compression is 135 in all cylinders.

Recent maint (5k miles ago, have reciept) include New dist cap, rotor, points, plugs. Fuel injection system cleaned and adjusted, new fuel injection drive belt. Oil and filter change. New strainer and sump seal. New starter and cables. New batteries and cables. Fuel tank and system flush.

I bought the car from someone on this website a while back. I have done nothing to it except a new bare metal paint job and have the front seats redone. I have had it serviced by my local vintage Porsche mechanic recently. I am asking $13,000.

Considering the 2.4 E with MFI could be the best all-around driving early 911 ever built? Yeah. This is a GREAT deal. I've got my E. It's AWESOME!

Phil,

The car is still available. It has been hard keeping up with all of the return emails. I apologize. Everyone seems really interested, but no one really seems to want to do anything. I finally have access to reply now, so ask away. Phil, remind me what you are waiting on a response to. Was it the engine number?

Sean

PorschePaul and dtrappers,

I am off today. I will get your pictures and number to you this morning.
The Porsche goes on ebay this morning as well for 7 days. I reserved the right to pull the add at any time as I have it for sale here first.

dtrappers-the engine number is 6230252

Paul-the pics have been sent. By the way, the paint job is a very good one despite the glass not being removed.

Please feel free to call me @ 832-473-2840 or blackberry at sdunbar@dth.com

Thanks

Wow the price sure went up. I'll take it for the original 13k, I can be there tomorrow if the offer still stands.
