unique 914-6 For Sale
The car is still available, and has just completed a full PPI at TRE MotorSport in Van Nuys California. For sale is a 73 914-6 conversion. The car is purpose built...form follows function. It is not for concourse or to be a garage queen. It is very fast and handles outstanding. It has a 2.7L CIS injected engine with very nice modifications. It is as crisp as a carburated engine, with excellent reliability. Gearbox is outstanding. Since it's completion this car has less than 10K miles. Brakes are exceptional, with 928GTS's up front and front 930 turbo's in the rear. Way to much to list....If you are interested send me a PM. $16,000 u.s. Here is some more info on the car:
Body: 73 original signal orange car. Fiberglass GT flares, Gt rocker panels, glass front and rear deck lid. Steel frame is bonded into the top. Interior roll hoop (bolt in). Also has 914-6 Gt front and rear glass bumpers. Custom vented 914-6 GT rear valance. Suspension: Bilstien sports front and rear. 220Lb springs, 21mm front T-bars, 22mm weltmiester sway bar, 16mm rear sway bar. All new neoprene bushings, new ball joints, new tie rods, 911 steering rack. Wheels are 7 & 8 x15 fuchs with brand new BFG's 225 rears and 205 fronts. Brakes are 928 GTS front, and 930 Turbo rear. Front brake cooling ducts. Chasis stiffening kit welded in to car as well as re-inforced rear trailing arms Engine: 2.7L CIS. Engine is built on a 7R case that has been sent out and checked, and time certed by Ollies. Crank is 2.7 standard, that was magnafluxed. SC cams. Heads were ported to 37mm and matched with new valve job, including new bushed rockers. Intake runners were Extrude honed, throtle body enlarged. Reworked fuel distributor, new fuel pump, new lines, new injectors, new fuel accumulator etc... Running an MSD with Allison Optic ignition. Exhaust is MSD headers with custom built megaphones. Car is also running a 914-6gt styled front oil cooler, with a front mounted 911 oil tank and thermostat system. Transmission: Standard 901 side shift gear box with short shift kit and new shift bushings all around. Clutch is all brand new. Interior: 911 RS door panels, REAL Scheel 914-6GT drivers seat, Sabelt drivers harness, original 70's prototipo steering wheel, or Momo course wheel if you prefer. Stock 914-6 carpet set. Almost every component on this car from a mechanical standpoint is new.
