1988 Porsche 911 Sunroof Coupe

I am offering for sale my 911 which is in truly wonderful condition. This car has been cherished since new and the appearance and mechanical condition really bear this out. I believe the colour is called Venetian Blue and the interior is Linen.

This car has never been driven in the Winter and has always been garaged.

190,xxx km (117,xxx miles).
The engine runs beautifully, smoothly and has lots of power.
There are minimal oil drips.
Very minor exhaust puffs at startup after sitting for a week or so.
Oil consumption about 1 litre/2000 km (1200 mi).
I have records for all maintenance done on the car from day 1.

Oil and filter changed last week.
Valves adjusted last week.
Air Filter changed last week.
Brand new Bridgestone Potenza RE01R Tires just installed on all 4 16" Fuchs wheels.

Interior is in excellent condition and has electric seats, cruise control, a/c, electric windows, power sunroof

I purchased this car last Fall from the third owner. He owned the car for 10 years, having purchased it from a friend who owned the car for the previous 8 years. The original owner owned it for 2 years.
All three of these former owners live in Ottawa and had the $$$ to lavish excellent care and maintenance on the car and to use it as a good weather weekend toy. The average mileage on the car since new is 9,000 km/yr (5,600mi). Enough miles to keep the car well exercised and seals fresh but not overused.

Other than basic oil changes etc, the following maintenance was done over the past several years.

May/07- 4 wheel alignment and corner balance
May/06- replace rear brake pads
Aug/04- replace voltage regulator and alternator
Apr/03- repair a/c system including new drier, new compressor, many seals/valves and convert to R 134A
Apr/02- new battery
may/99- replace front brake pads
Jul/98 replace front windshield.

As you can see, the repair cost over the past 10 years has been relatively nominal. Clearly this car is one of the good ones and has not been abused.

I must say it saddens me to be selling this car. I have only owned it for 5 months ( most of that time stored in the garage over winter), and I am certain it is an excellent car and one I would dearly love to keep. It took me a long time to find this car but my wife and I are divorcing and there is just no way to keep the car given my current situation.

Please click the following photobucket link to review photos of the car.
Please email me for other photos as required.

PM or contact me at andymcgregor@rogers.com asking US$17,800 or Cdn $21,000.
Price reduced to US$16,800 or Can 19,900.Thanks
Andy

This car is still for sale. Don't overlook this one as it is an excellent, no excuses car.
I would gladly drive this car anywhere in North America and back, with no fear of breakdowns whatsoever.
I forgot to mention, the a/c works great. Also the paint is original and looks fantastic.

email or PM me for any more info.
Thanks
Andy
