1976 914-6 Steel-Roof

For Sale - 1976 914-6 Steel-Roof conversion

I bought another Real 914-6 (my 2nd) so I have to sell my Steel-Roof

1976 chassis, Fresh 2.5 litre engine (approx 8,000 miles), MadDog bulkhead engine mount, Headers into 911 muffler, sideshifter, cross-drilled front rotors, just put Konis and 140lb springs in the rear, F/G GT Flares, GT rocker panels, LE front valance, rear spoiler, Engman chassis/longitudinal kit, Backdated early Steel bumpers w/ very good rubber tops front & rear, MSD igntion, battery in rear trunk, Very Good Stereo with cd player. Interior has been sound-proofed with RaaMat (Dynamat/FatMat equivilant). Choice of Cookie-Cutter or Graku (from Holland) wheels - both with new tires.

Car could use a re-spray. Original color is Ancona Blue, but the car has been painted a slightly different shade with metal-flake in it. It is very acceptable, but not to my taste. I was about to send it to the paint shop until I just found this other Real 914-6.

Steel-Roof was constructed out of a complete 944 Roof that was sectioned and welded. It has the early manual Sun-roof that either tilts up or comes out. It is VERY nice. The Steel-Roof adds the strength & stiffness these cars really need. You could not get this roof made for the price I'm asking for the entire car.

I just took the car out for a 2 hour ride, it was a blast, it runs Great. Everything on this car works.

Engine Specs:
66mm T 2.0 crank and rods.
90mm EBS nicasil cylinders
90mm JE pistons 9.5-1
Solex grind cams
2.7 S cis heads

This car would be an ideal car for a 916 Clone, track car or just a phenomenal driver

Car is in Tampa, Florida USA

Asking $12,000

The car was featured today on BringATrailer.com. I had alot of interest before, but now it's before a different audience. I spent 3-4 hours answering eMails & talking to people on the phone today. Still available, but not for long.

Bump for a great car at a great price. Maybe I should have priced it higher, as some people must think there is something wrong with this car. There isn't, just a Great car, Quality Build, Fun & Solid - Fantastic price.
