I have for sale a 1982 930 race car rolling chassis. This car was run with a turbo engine and gearbox . The car was parked about 4 or 5 years ago and has not been driven since. The chassis is a never wrecked 930. The body consists of GT racing 935 front bumper assembly, gt racing 935 front and rear fenders, gt racing fiberglass roof skin, gt racing fiberglass doors, getty design tail and upper wings with uprights. The hood is a homemade fiberglass unit and is not a very nice part. The car has a fuel cell as pictured. Ultrashield racing seat, Lindsey racing wheels that are 9.5 by 16 inch fronts and 12 by 17 inch rears . These are 3 piece lindseys and in excellent condition. The suspension consists of ERP front lower control arms late model uprights with adjustable gt3 bilstein struts . The front uses 928 s4 calipers and weltmeister sway bar and homemade adjustable camber plates. The rear consists of correct 930 rear control arms, ERP 935 rear spring plates. 930 FRONT calipers , and bilstein coilovers with a speedway adjustable bar. It has a complete tilton dual master cylinder setup for the brakes with cockpit adjustable bias knob, Also tilton hydraulic for clutch cylinder setup.
I am sure you could install just about any sort of 911 based engine and trans combination or v8 swap and have a really fun track toy.
Most of the cagework is nicely done. The last guy to work on the car go the bright idea of cutting the nose panel of the car to install oil coolers. Fabrication was not his forte. He cut the area in front of the car and never completed the job( thank goodness) The welding of the cross braces he installed is not up to par.
This is a cosmetic issue and could be easily remedied with some minor fab work.
It is possible that if I don't sell it as a whole in the next couple of weeks I might consider parting it out
