FS: '78 911, 930 motor, K27 Turbo, SC Cams, RL8 Headers, GT3 Muffler, Austin, TX

For sale is a 1978 911 Turbo in Austin, Texas.

Asking $34,950

Built by Brian of RarlyL8 Motorsports who purchased this car in 1997 as the platform for a light weight turbo. The '78SC was a factory option delete model having the electrical package delete, A/C delete, and sunroof delete. A wrecked 930 donor was used for the fenders, interior, and engine.

The SC chassis was taken to the tub, painted, and rebuilt from the ground up.

Chassis:
  • '78 911SC factory light weight
  • Sunroof Delete
  • A/C and Electric Accessory Delete
  • '78 930 Fenders and Black Leather Interior

  • BWMotorsports Fiberglass Bumper GT2 Wing & Side Skirts
  • Koni adjustable shocks/struts
  • Brembo red brakes

Engine:
  • '78 930
  • Full Rebuild in 1998 at cost of $25K
  • ARP Head Studs and Rod Bolts
  • SC Cams
  • K27-7200 Turbo
  • Custom IC/965 BOV
  • RarlyL8 Headers / Heat Exchangers

Transaxle:
  • '86 Carrera 915 w/ Factory Oil Cooler
  • Custom 4th and 5th Gears
  • WEVO Bearing Retainer

Wheels/Tires:
  • 9 & 11.5x18 Rooks
  • 255/35 and 315/30 Pirelli P-Zero Rosso Tires

Performance:
  • 0-100mph <10 seconds
  • 350WHP @ 0.75Bar

This car is a solid performer that can be driven anywhere. Faults - The driver's door window cranks up/down hard and the odometer does not work.

The engine seeps a bit of oil, not bad.

There is epoxy on the case (picture in the album). It was there when I purchased the car.

A folder of records and receipts will go with the car.

The paint is as good as it looks in pictures. It's a beautiful car.

The interior is extremely clean. The little round thing hanging out of the glove box is a receiver to play your iPhone through the stock stereo.

No warranty is offered or implied. One missed shift at redline can trash the engine and you cannot drag race the tranny. There is enough power so abuse in not necessary.

PPIs welcomed. I will help coordinate details at a local shop in Austin.

Please PM me for more information.
