BUILD:
Chassis/Body:
• 1970 Porsche 911 T
• California car, street-driven until 2005,
• Original color Blood Orange (“Blut Orange”). Repaint is race-quality in same color.
• Vin# 9110120016
• Welded-in sunroof plug
• Steel 964 rear quarters
• FG 3.8 RSR short rear tail
• Wheels: Color-matched set of 16” Fuchs (7 & 8)
• Reinforced ARB mounts
• Wevo engine and gearbox mounts
• Front oil cooler
• Second oil cooler in fender
• Lightweight 911R taillight assemblies
• FG front bumper with brake cooling and oil cooler openings
• Custom splitter (shows some wear)
• Fabcar windshield holdowns
• Full roll cage by TC Designs
• Plexi front and rear screens (still serviceable but could use replacement)
• Original glass rear quarter windows
• Weight: Minimum legal weight with driver is 2350 lbs. This car requires some fuel and ~50lbs of ballast to meet that minimum with a 175lbs driver.
• Traqmate Complete data-acquisition & transponder included (hardwired).

Engine:
• 1978 3.0L (Records show engine# 6383739)
• Fully rebuilt in 2014 by Brian Kirkis (owner of The Stable). Roughly 10-12 hours on motor since. This rebuild included brand-new Mahle high compression pistons & cylinders, new bearings, etc.
• Large valve heads
• Race valve springs & retainers
• 46mm PMO carbs w/ tall manifolds
• Mahle high compression P&Cs
• Electromotive crankfire ignition
• 215mm small fan
• Pressure fed tensioners w/ retainers
• Dual fuel filters
• Holley fuel pump

Gearbox:
• Magnesium case 915
• GT ltd. slip differential
• Rebuilt by Wevo/Brian Kirkis approx. 20 hours ago. (Note: when cold the 2-3 shift needs to be done slow, but once warm everything works great).
• Wevo gate shift
• Wevo shifter and PSJ
• Custom Rothsport CV joints and axles (super trick)
• Wevo mounts

Suspension:
• Smart Racing ARBs front and rear (adjustable)
• Wevo spring plate system
• Elephant racing ply-bronze bushings (F)
• Smart Racing mono-balls (R)
• Re-valved and shortened Bilstein front struts (new 2016)

• Carrera calipers (rear)
• Carrera discs all-round
• 23mm master cylinder
• Motul fluid

Electrical:
• Fully re-wired, electrical disconnect, main power switch, fuel pump switch, push-button start (no key). The wiring not pretty but dead-simple and works.
• Optima yellow-top battery
• High output alternator
• Dash-mounted fuses, circuits for pit radio, enduro lighting, lightweight blower
• Low fuel light in dash
• Large fan belt warning light

Interior:
• Stripped, gutted, repainted grey, holes drilled in floor for attachment of ballast weight, etc.
• Traqmate Complete with display unit mounted on center dash (hardwired to power)
• Rennspeed aluminum gas and dead pedals (stock brake & clutch pedals)
• Momo steering wheel with quick release and hub extension
• 2014 Cobra Suzuka Pro Kevlar driver’s seat (no passenger seat)
• Schroth harnesses (nearly dated-out)
• 2014 center & window nets
• Spa fire system with 2 nozzles (driver’s crotch and engine)
• Fuelsafe cell (large)
• Transponder

The bad: this car has seen some car-to-car contact. Never hit a wall, barrier or anything like that, but the bodywork shows evidence of repair & repainting. The repaint is in the original color. The car has non-original rear quarter panels (steel 964 ones). Some paint bubbles on weld-sports on passenger side. Most of the interior, original wiring & trim have been stripped. None of that stuff is included in the sale. The interior is not fancy.

I have owned this car since early 2013. The previous owner is a friend. He bought it as a clean street car in ~2000, then converted it to a race car in 2005 and added the Jerry Woods-built 3.0L engine, which has since been rebuilt & improved (in 2014).

I have a binder full of records going back to the original owner. The car is NOT street-legal, nor registered, but I DO have the CA pink slip. Ownership will be transferred via bill-of-sale.

Please PM or email me (by clicking my username). Car is currently located in Berkeley and may be seen by appointment. I am also selling my Featherlite aluminum open trailer (see below).

This is probably your cheapest entry-point to a longhood 911 race car in an active class (Spec911 runs with both PCA and PRC/NASA). The 3.0L engine, suspension and associated running gear are all ready-to-race. The Spec911 class combines a strong power/weight ratio with relatively modest spec tires. This places a high emphasis on driver skill. See also: juevos gigantes.

Here’s a link to onboard video of me driving it around Sonoma Raceway at the car's most recent event (Fall 2014), so you can see/hear how she goes:

https://youtu.be/H-ub6UFUoc8

These particular laps qualified me 8th out of 30 cars in Fall 2014. Pole-sitters were ~1 second faster. It has been serviced & stored since then, but not raced. It starts, runs and drives as it should. It has low hours on a professionally rebuilt motor.

Thanks for reading.
John

Trailer:
• Featherlite 17.5' trailer - Model 3110 (all aluminum), built Aug 2012 as a ’13 model-year, roughly 6,000 miles on it. Can't even feel it behind the truck when it's empty. 7000lb GVWR rating, full deck, double axles, elec. brakes, hidden ramps, large nose guard.
• $4k, package deal preferred
