Porsche Crest 1979 911SC One Owner Car.

For Sale: 0ne owner 1979 911SC.
94k miles. Black over Champagne.

I am helping a friend sell his beloved 911 due to a medical condition that prevents him from being able to drive it any longer. Dressed in Black over Champagne,
this all-original example has been maintained regularly by the same mechanic since 1983. So I’ll do my best to fully describe this car to help answer as many question you may have. The owner never had any intention on selling the car so he does not have a lot of paperwork. I had the car inspected by a well-respected Porsche shop. Has 2 keys and owners manual.

Mechanicals:
Firstly, the car runs, drives and handles great and mechanically it is quite sound. I did speak with the mechanic in the process of getting to know the car.
The big items that have been done are:
• Clutch.
• Shocks - 2010
• Valve adjustment 2014
• Brakes – pads and rotors 2015
• Pop off valve (being done)
• Belts are ok but could be changed.
• Tires are very good with no dry rot.
• Alignment performed 2016

Tachometer was sticky so I sent it out to be repaired.
Could use to have the update done to the chain tensioners.
I drove the car about 60 miles or so and after parking it only had one small drip of oil.
I’ve ordered a few small things for the car like hood/trunk struts a seat release knob and a new front trunk carpet.
Interior:
The interior is a real trip back in time to 1979. The Champagne leather is in great shape with only a bit of wear on the drivers seat bolster. The car comes complete with It’s original radio cassette an Escort Radar detector (with box and papers) Ungo box (anti theft) all in working order. All the controls and switchgear work but one of the fog light bulbs is out.
A/C - doesn’t work, may need a new condenser.
Driver’s side carpet worn. I’ve ordered some nice coco mats for the front.
Exterior:
The paint is all original except for the passenger door because he added the passenger side mirror early in the cars life. The condition is driver quality and still has a nice depth to in on most panels. There is no corrosion anywhere.
The drivers door and rear quarter are a bit dull.
Early on the car received a bad detail, criminal in my opinion, which left a couple of area’s burnt. One by the rain gutter, where the roof and rear window meet on the driver side. The other is just under the aerial antenna on the passenger front fender.
Any buyer has options. Keep it, drive it and preserve it or go all in and restore the paint perhaps.

Just a very nice car looking for a new steward to care for her. Also, probably the least expensive way to get into an air-cooled Porsche.

Asking $35,000
