This Turbo was one of the first ones designated for our market. It was built in June of 2000. It was sold new by a San Francisco area Porsche dealer on July 28th, 2000. It was ordered with the following factory options:

Crest on headrests
Carbon fiber tiptronic shifter
Carbon fiber sport steering wheel
Carbon fiber insignia door sills
Carbon fiber handbrake
Tiptronic S Transmission
Steering wheel with tiptronic S paddles
Colored Porsche crest wheel center caps
PCM Porsche navigation
Digital sound package
Remote CD Changer

In addition, the dealer installed the following options:

GT2 rear wing
GT2 front spoiler
Upgraded Porsche factory wheels (same size as stock)
Aluminum pedals

The first owner was a local enthusiast who kept the car for nearly 7-years/37k-miles. He serviced it primarily at the local area Porsche dealers. It needed nothing beyond routine services. He traded it back into his local dealer. The next owner purchased the car from the selling Porsche dealer on January 12th, 2007. This owner is a close family friend who I've known most of my life. He is a mature professional who primarily used this Turbo to attend local PCA events including trips to the Monterey car week. He frequently serviced the car at the local Porsche dealer at the required intervals. Besides regular oil services, the only other major repair was he replaced two of the radiators and the alternator. We helped him sell the car on December 6th, 2012 with 51k-miles to a close PCA Orange County friend of ours.

The current owner was a longtime Porsche enthusiast who, back in the late 60's, used to help his uncle pick up new Porsches from the port and bring them down to their Porsche dealer in San Diego. His family was very close with Ferry Porsche's family and when they were in town, the Porsche family always stayed with his. Although this owner always had Porsches, his newest one was a 1987 928. When he saw this Turbo, he knew it was the perfect car for getting more involved in PCA touring events. For the first few years, he would join us on our drives to Monterey as well as other Orange County Region events. He serviced the car regularly and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, he passed away a couple of years ago and his wife just isn't enjoying it as much as she thought she might. One of the highlights of his ownership was having this car as part of PCA's 50th anniversary of the 911 celebration poster (see pic). A fresh copy is included with the car.

So, we picked up the car from their home and took it to our local Porsche specialist for an oil service, new battery, and a quick inspection. The mechanic found the car in just as nice of shape as when we sold it to this owner 6-years ago.

The paint is in excellent shape with minimal signs of use. Most of the paint is original with some light work on the right rear fender due to some scratches and dents. There is a small chip on the left rear bumper (see pic) as well as some hairline cracks on the front bumper by the vents (see pic). The glass is in great shape with no cracks or major chips. The lower front rubber spoiler lip has some minor wear as to be expected. The wheels are in great shape with just a few minor nicks (see pics). They are wearing tires with near full tread on the front and about 75% tread on the rear. They are 6-years old but have no cracks and are in great shape. The front brakes are near new and the rear brakes have more than half-life remaining. The hydraulic rear wing works properly.

The interior is equally as nice and shows minimal signs of use. The full leather seats have no tears and minimal signs of use. The carpet, headliner, and door panels all look great. Even the carbon fiber trim pieces are in good shape with no warping or discoloration. The dash is full leather and has some of the typical shrinking near the defrost vents (see pic). A larger and more sturdy leather center console storage bin has been added and includes a cup holder. The center console has also been painted to match the body.

This Turbo drives fantastic and feels as tight and solid as when it was new. It starts easily and holds a smooth idle. Whether in automatic mode or shifting with the buttons, it is precise and surprisingly quick. The brakes are outstanding and inspire confidence. Handling is crisp with excellent turn in and it tracks straight. If I had to narrow my automotive life down to one car to do everything, this would be it. It's fast, fun, comfortable, and easy enough to use on a daily basis. Plus, they are incredibly reliable and a relatively affordable supercar to own.

California registration is paid through the July of 2018.

This Turbo comes with extra keys (3 total), car cover, books/owner's manuals, service records, spare tire, jack, air compressor, and tool kit.
