Fs: 1967 912

$19,911

Just picked this thing up but decided its too much for me right now.
Would rather spend the time and money on other stuff.
Supposedly matching numbers but no coa.
No welding required but a bit of surface rust.
Needs to be completely torn down, blasted, primed and painted.
Looks mostly complete and original.
Will post more pics when I get to computer.
Looks much worse in person!

Vin# 354545 Porsche bodied 912 coupe (not Karmann) fitted with engine number between 836001 - 836610
Eng# 836344 installed in chassis number between 354001 - 354970

So I am guessing numbers matching, which is what I was told.

Will consider a nice 356 speedster replica trade.
Or other interesting trades.

Still have this car.
Still have no idea what to do with it.
Two cars ahead of it, so I wont even think about starting on this car for at least a year.

Sorry guys, this car is no longer for sale.
Pulled into the shop last week and started working on her.
Too many tire kickers wanting dozen of pics just to offer less than I paid.
Good luck finding another solid numbers matching swb coupe under $20k.

Started working on this car and soon realized I dont have anther restoration in me.
So the car is back up for sale.
I have about 17,500 in this car and will not take a loss, so that is my bottom line.

Front pan was replaced and looks like a pretty good job.
Floors were replaced and also look like a pretty good job, but flat stock was used and not replacement panels.
Lots of surface rust.

Interesting trades considered, cash up/down
NICE 914 or decent 914-6 conversion
Speedster replica
Ghia or bug vert
Some sort of track rat
Rollers considered if they will accept a 911 engine
???

Finally got this thing on a rotisserie and mostly torn down.
What a turd!!
Lots of rust hidden by think under coating.
I don't want it.
Make reasonable offer.
May part out if no reasonable offer within a few weeks.

This thread has some of the rust pics:

What to do with my '67 912?

At a minimum, full floors, front pedal area, inner outer rockers on both sides, and probably the rear seat bottoms.
Other than that, she's pretty solid.

FS: 1967 912 project

Pretty rusty. At a minimum needs:
Complete floors
Pedal area
Right / left inner/outer rockers
Misc patches

Motor needs rebuild.
Good leakdown, but has sat for MANY years

All numbers line up so could be matching, but don't know for sure.

Possible trades for something running or almost running.

$19,912 OBO

Slowly starting to put this thing back together as a roller.
No interest in restoring at this time.
Going to move to long term storage in the next month or so, unless somebody buys it first!!
Make offer and come get it!!

Still got this thing.
Still on rotisserie but not getting any love.
Interesting trades considered, especially interesting cash trades!
Willing to sell without motor if somebody just wants the roller.
