I am trying to remove my catalytic converters on my 04 cayenne turbo, to weld new flex pipes on them. I'm down to the very last bolt which is the 13mm hangar bolt that secures the tab on the side of the cat. I can get a wrench on it from the side through wheel well but there's not enough room to turn the wrench, even a ratcheting one. I can't find a route from the front for extensions and a socket. If anybody has any ideas I would really appreciate you sharing. I thought about cutting up an extension and welding it into a tight "U" shape and go at it from the rear.

I ended up buying flex extensions that didn't work and a strange 90 deg socket adapter. I finally was able to reach it and get on it from the rear with a homemade u shaped extension that I welded up. Once it was broken loose, I used the funky 90deg thing to finish which took about an our to back it all the way out. I hope someone still replies with an easier way to access it because I have to get the bolt back in eventually.
