955 exterior trim removal.

Hi, I am a newbie to the forum, and I am extremely grateful for any help. I want to remove the exterior brushed aluminium trim from my 2006 955 so I can paint it. Can you advise the best way to do this without damaging it? Also, I have a Durametric professional cable, can this be used to transfair the code from my air suspension control unit, to another with the same part number? thank you< Paul.

I’ve removed mine from my 06 Cayenne S by gently prying along the trim. There are tabs that are replaceable if one breaks.

I did the same, used dental floss (lots of it, with patience) to work my way down the piece of trim. Be careful, the aluminum/metal piece bends easily.
