Macan brake replacement
Porsche dealer says I need new pads and rotors on my '15 Macan S.50K mi. How do I know if I really need new rotors?

Ask for the minimum thickness number stamped on disc and compare to the measurements.

Did your warning light come on? I have had dealer service recommend pad and rotor changes way before it was really time. Like said previously measure them yourself. It is a safety factor so don't take a chance if they are near the minimum.

Agreed, get them to show you the rotor thickness via caliper and the min spec.
