Dip stick tube, o'ring stuck in block and now I cant reinstall tube
Short Version - Removed my dipstick tube and can't get it back in as the o'ring stayed the block. I got at least 4 hours trying to get it back in I am loosing my mind.
Medium Version - 2013 Cayenne 6 cyl - I had a bad crankshaft pulse sensor that needed to be replaced. The crankshaft pulse sensor connector is attached to the dipstick tube. The manual says to remove the dipstick tube to get to the sensor but when I removed the dip stick tube the o'ring at end of tube didnt come out with it and is stuck in the block. Hole is now too tight to just shove the dip stick tube in. Manual says to use a pick or a wire to remove the o'ring if it gets stuck. Access stinks, the place where the dipstick tube fits in to block is way too far in to get a regular pick in there. I likely need a 24"+ pick bent the same shape as dip stick tube to have a shot. I tried using an angled piece of wire(as listed in the manual as the solution to the o'ring not coming out) but I had no luck either. Anyone ever have this problem? I really dont want to pull the pan especially since I am not sure I can get to the ring up the tube in reverse. Attached picture of my Milwaukee scope down the hole where this is. Sadly pick and scope dont really fit in this space without knocking the camera all around, this makes it even harder. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1601255544.jpg
