coolant leak

i've been driving my "new" cayenne for about 2 months now - i mentioned in another post that i can catch a whiff of coolant from it in my garage after driving it - there has never been a drop on the floor - i can't see any seepage or any sign (places where dust has stuck to wet coolant) anywhere - the reservoir has been dropping and i've been topping it off but i want the issue fixed before winter weather sets in - anybody have any ideas where the leaks on these happen? - i can see the water pump and where the 2 pipes are glued into the thermostat holder...nothing there - i can't see anything that looks like a leak at top or bottom radiator hose connections or near bottom of radiator - i read that there are some lines that run through the engine valley but i can't see those - suggestions?

ok ..so i pulled the intake off today and my leak is definitely under there - it doesn't look like it's the small vent pipe which i already bought hoping it was something cheap and easy - it seems to be under the thermostat housing - took some pics but i really can't pinpoint where it's actually leaking from - some new questions
1. can the thermostat housing be removed separately from the water pump or do i need to remove pump first
2. is it better (easier) to undo the flare fittings from the fuel injectors or pull the actual injector from the head
3. is there a seal between the thermostat housing and the block or is the housing just bolted to block - in other words does coolant run down from housing into top of block or just through the tubes
4. is the housing a breakable part - i mean if the tubes are nice and secure is there anything that can go wrong with it or is it just a solid piece of aluminum

here are some pics - i'm going to try and pressurize the system to see if i can make it leak - it only leaks when car is hot and evaporates in the valley - thanks in advance for suggestions or answers

well i bought new seals for everything in and around the thermostat housing - i found it difficult to determine which seals were which online - so many tubes and i'm not sure of their actual names - i wound up buying them from local dealer - i wanted them fast and they had the schematic on computer so i could look at what i needed - but i paid dearly for what turned out to be 8 o-rings - here are pictures of the part numbers and a description so anyone else can get them much cheaper online - not sure if it's even fixed as the belt tensioner pulley exploded this a.m. and i can't test drive it - oddly there is a seal inside the housing with a part number on it but porsche said it cannot be sold separate from the housing itself..?? - the same for the most inner seal on thermostat - might be available elsewhere

housing to block seal - need 2

o-ring for tube that runs from housing to rear of engine in the valley - need 2

o-ring for small tube from housing to front left of car - need 1

o-ring on thermostat - need 2

water pump seal

seal inside housing that porsche says can't be had separately - with part number

so i answered all my questions i posted above - 1. you must remove water pump first to remove thermo housing...2. i undid the flares on the fuel lines ..seemed easier than disturbing the injector o-rings...3. there are 2 seals between the housing and the block...4. the housing is just a solid piece so if your tubes are intact there is nothing to break on it ..unless that seal that porsche says can't be had is really bad - one thing that i was totally surprised by was removing the intake manifold and seeing the starter tucked under there ...weird - haven't seen anything like that since years ago a friend bought a 3 cylinder subaru - i wanted to see what that engine looked like and when he raised the hood there was a spare tire mounted on top of the engine
