to buy or not to buy!!! 2009 cayenne V6 230Kmi
 

Hello, everyone.
I've heard about tranny problems on Cayennes.
I need your advice on inspecting this vehicle:
2009 Cayenne with 230,000 miles (NY state). V6, automatic. equipped with hitch.
repairs by PO - drive shaft.
otherwise, PO claims that the car is in very good condition.
What's your advice?
what to look for?
what and how to inspect (especially tranny, I understand it must shift on time and smooth up and down).

I've had a 2006 and now a 2009 and never had any tranmission issues, or knew there were any. On my 04 the shifting was a little uneven but a cheap stepper motor fixed that issue, and it was a very easy diy job.

The driveshaft is the only issue I keep having with them, they failed on both of mine. but it's an easy fix, and sounds like that has been taken care of.

230k miles is a lot though, mine was 170 and 145k and they still ran/run great.

But I did try quite a few until I found the ones I liked. So if it feel like it drives as it should, it's probably a decent buy :)
