First Gen Cayenne Upgrades

Well I am making this post to see all the available mods or upgrades you guys have done since your ownership so far....Anything? I mean from suspension to trimming or a headset upgrade...what have you guys done for more creature comfort, uniqueness or some simple personalization? Post some pics please!!!

I like mine just fine without any upgrades. Only thing I would like is a backup camera.

A Rennline Exact Fit Phone Mount could be a great place to start.

2008 Cayenne S I did get a set of Lloyds mats. The basic rubber mats are very functional, however the LLoyds mats look a lot better. A back up camera would be nice. My wife's Honda has one and I like it a lot. Also needs an auxiliary audio input. The Blaupunkt radio in my 57 year old 356 came with an auxiliary audio input that works with my I-Pod. Not so with the Cayenne.

I can agree with you for the most part The radio and navigation seems fine or plays good enough for me however I do wish I had a back up camera where I won’t lose any features of the car for installing one I have already been looking at rear view mirror camera that may work for this but I haven’t gotten that far yet...

However I did find this ashtray Bluetooth fm radio high-jacker that works really well and looks nice with the current setup best part its less than $20 bucks

But I am looking to customize it a little more just like I have with my 944 but not so radical just subtle interior details for instance I ordered a airbrush kit so I can re-dye and respray the interior trim pieces back the factory color they are faded pretty badly in some places or maybe redoing the headliner in custom micro suede grey or something that sets the rest of the interior off nicely

Will eventually upgrade the suspension and wheels been thinking about getting the same wheels I have on my 944 18” Victor Equipment Lemans in Black just to have that big bro lil bro effect in my driveway 😂

I think it sits too high...it doesn’t have air ride? And I have been wondering about 22s versus the 18s thats on there my car the 944 came with 16” phonies and I went to 18s still rides nice but I was wondering if maybe I should get them in 20s for the SUV...since they did have 20” will package from the dealer??? Any thoughts

not a first gen but i got this bug in my head to black out with vinyl wrap some of the too (in my opinion ) shiny parts ..then just kept going - interior dash components, lower rear reflectors. lower trim on hatch, trim around windows, upper side mirrors, center caps on wheels - fairly cheap and i like the look - going to try the rear porsche cayenne s lettering on hatch next

I wet sand mine by hand with very fine wet paper and follow with polish by hand. Takes about 10 minutes and they look like new. Be careful not to scratch your paint.

I use the Plastx from Walmart or Advance Auto for about $8 here (bottle lasts 2 or 3 polishings). I have to do it again in about a year, so I should probably try the sealer that some recommend (in photo below or similar).
