3.6 stalls. runs after filling gas tank

2008 3.6 73,500 miles. When gas level is between 1/2 - 3/4 full
the car acts like it's out of gas and dies. It will then start
for a couple seconds and dies. If I fill the tank
it runs great. Engine light does come on when it dies.
But goes away after a couple starts. The engine
light goes off before I can get a scan at my
local parts store. I'm having no issues starting
or running or idle if the gas tank is close to 3/4 full.
I haven't noticed a change in mpg. Any pointers are
appreciated. I think I'm going to replace both fuel pump
relays and see if that helps. Thanks in advance.

Fuel pump. There are two. The main behind the driver and the 2nd on the right side.

There are quite a few threads on the topic.

Each pump has it's own fuse located here

You can figure out which pump is weak by pulling the fuse and letting the other kick on. - both pumps run on startup. If the main is bad, and you pull that fuse the 2nd will continue, keeping the engine running. (full throttle needs both pumps)
