911 guys and gals, that also own a Cayenne, post a reply to this thread! The 911 Technical board is such a GREAT resource, I would love the 911 folks who also own a Cayenne to get involved here!

As a 1979 911 SC owner, I just picked up a 2004 Cayenne turbo, for my daily. Would love to see more posts on this forum.

2015 Cayenne Diesel, 1972 911T, 1959 356A Coupe. The Cayenne is my daily and the other two just sit around looking pretty.

2005 Cayenne V6. Ordered new from Stuttgart, 66,000 miles on odometer. 1975 911 S with a 3.0

Cayenne driven monthly, in great condition, only complaint is the $1,800 upgrade to the PCCM+ radio by the dealer. Idiots lost ability to receive AM radio. I was told AM Radio signals are weak in Los Angeles.

I am on my second Cayenne, a 2014 base platinum with 95,000 miles. That is my daily driver, and the 1978SC is the week-end toy, that I have owned since 2001.

First Cayenne was a 2008 base that I traded at 178,000 miles.

2008 Cayenne 6 cylinder (my daily driver with 240k on the clock)
2013 Cayenne 6 cylinder (wife's car with about 100k on the clock)

The Cayennes with 6 cylinder engines have been great. The '13 has not had any issues in the 40k we have put on it. The '08 has had a few issues over the years but not too many for that old of a car with that kind of mileage. One electric fan, one high pressure fuel pump and one rebuilt transmission valve chest (which was bad when I bought it at 130k mileage) I do all my own repairs and maintenance so the car has not cost me much money to own.

Not a Cayenne, but my wife's dail driver is a 2017 Macan she ordered from the "build your car" site that Porsche operates. She ordered just what she wanted.

Funny, had a 79 SC and a 2005 Cayenne Turbo, now it’s a 06 Cayman S and a 18 Macan GTS, do I count? 😀

My Porsche non SUV is an '03 996. My wife drives a '13 Cayenne Turbo with 49k miles. We also have an '06 Cayenne S with almost 170k miles. I do all my own maintenance and repairs including replacing the radiator recently on the Turbo. One of the three screws that mount the fan to the shroud backed out allowing the fan to hit the radiator, thus causing a leak. If anyone has questions about these trucks, ask away. I had a 2015 Macan S. Nice vehicle, but felt more Mercedes like than Porsche. Also, couldn't carry much with the slanted hatch.

2009 Cayenne Turbo S. I love it, but it does eat money.

Very cool. I'm planning on doing all my own maintenance, so hopefully I can keep the running costs to a manageable level. The 2004 Turbo has 94k on the clock, but it appears to be well-maintained. PO just had the carrier bearing replaced, but at the dealer, I suspect they put in a replacement original, so I'll have to do that again in 80k or so. I don't think the coolant pipes have been replaced yet, so that will be the first job, in addition to an oil change and a new steering rack boot.

For your entertainment, I was chasing down why my air suspension was not raising up, and after several hours of troubleshooting, I found that I was not pushing the slider up hard enough to engage the switch. :)
