Does the V6 have the coolant pipe issue?

Excuse the post if this has been gone over too many times before. I don't frequent this forum but have been considering a 2006 Cayenne.

2006 because when I looked into this before that model seemed to be the best sorted of the series. I know these can take some maintenance and money. I'd just like to not drop into a rabbit hole.

I also don't want to be stuck in some POS SUV that drives like every other SUV of which there are so many brands I don't even want to look at them.

Hi Zeke,

I did some searching and it looks like on this post from 2015, around post #5 the V6 was mentioned as not having the coolant pipe issues that the V8 are prone to. hopefully this helps!

Thank you, Matt. Also there seems to be some encouragement to buy a later model, even the '08 which I read was the first of the next series and had some issues.

My recollection is that the V6 does not have the coolant pipe issue. However, any V8 of this vintage has probably been fixed by now. At least I hope mine has.

I did notice that as well but as Paul mentioned above, hopefully anything you buy used at this point has had that sort of maintenance done. You would hope anyway...
