Black paint good or bad

Hi,

I heard from a buddy that the Cayenne Black (Basalt?) is one of the worst cayenne colors in terms of quality. Has anyone heard any comments through the grapevine like this?

I've always know Porsche paint to be excellent, but he said he had heard this from several sources.

(I like black )

Ill have to ask my buddy, and a mechanic I know, but I like the black color. Their comments were it does not last and fades in a couple of years.

Again not my comments, and un-verfied.

No problems with my wifes black Cayenne either !

Except that the black is a pain in the b..t to keep clean !!! Every single bird drop or dust shows immediately.

But when it is clean , of man , it is beautiful !

I have actually noticed a bit of fading on a 04 Cayenne, it is nothing too major, but it is something to consider.
