So I managed to find a diagram of the engine viewed from the top. I've circled the sensor in red. What do I need to pull off to get at it other than the secondary airpump?

sorry i didnt see your last post. i have removed them before without pulling anything other than the pump. the service manual want you to pull the intake manifold. Yeah they generally suck to get out!

I'll give it a go and see if I can get it off without pulling off the intake manifold. I'll let you know how it works out.

In the end the customer chose not to replace the defective Camshaft Position Sensor and took back the vehicle this morning. It left in better shape than it arrived however the owner didn't want to commit any more money to repairs at this time.

Just a little info for what its worth at this point:

If the ignition coils end in 00 or 01, *always* replace them all. Do not even give them an option.

If the ignition coils end in 03 or 05, replace the damaged coils only.

Cayenne 3.2 manual misfire
 

Hi all
Well i have a Porsche Cayenne 2005 3.2 manual gear, last week i changed the disk and the plate, but since then iam having problemms with the car , it is ruining on 3 cylinders only,, the cods are for the first three cylinders, i changed the coils and still i have the same problem, it sayes now the injectors on the first 3 cylinders, i don't know, should i change, fix or clean the injectors,, please help.. you can msg me on my email if you have the same problemm,, jarrar,basel at gmail.com..

I have a 06 CTTS and decided this may be my issue. It started out having what I thought was an intermittent misfire, but it was rare. Yesterday, it started to do it frequently and right around 2100 RPM. As soon as I realized what I thought it was, the check engine light came on. I see our host has the coils and I was considering replacing all 8 with new plugs. Are these fairly easy to change? If this is indeed the issue, once they are replaced will I need to have the check engine codes cleared or will the computer clear itself?

Changing the plugs and coil packs is pretty easy. You'll need Torx drivers and basic tools.

You'll need to remove the compartment covers, cylinder covers and unplug a few things. Not that difficult to do. The hardest part is removing the upper engine mount bracket and cylinder cover underneath. You'll need a set of torx drivers and a skinny spark plug socket. I have a write up for changing them. PM me.

An old post I know, but I wondered if anyone has a good write up for changing the sparks and coils on a Cayenne that you could share as I need to do mine?
