![]() ![]() I am hearing water sloshing somewhere in the back of our 05 Cayenne S. Becoming very obvious when stopping & starting from a stop light. At first we thought it was gas sloshing in the tank, but the noise is still there even when the tank is full. Any ideas? Anyone have this happen to them? Water
Boxster look underneath and you will see drain plugs if I remember correctly they are in the rocker panels behind the front tire pry the plug out with a screw driver and you will see Niagra Falls I left mine out so as not to have the problem again seems to be a common problem with Cayennes'

![]() ![]() Thank you, but we have done that long ago. And yes, we got Niagra Falls the first time we pulled those plugs. This is a new sloshing and is from the rear..........Nothing wet in the interior or around the back seat that we can find, but its very noticeable. While on a lift we could not see any drain plugs anywhere in back either. Any further help would be greatly appreciated. Len ![]() |

Sounds like water in the tires... Fill up at a gas station recently?

cayenne water under spare.
You need to check inside the trunk area on the left side panel, pull out the foam piece and look at the inside of the quarter panel area, there are 3 plastic clips that hold the bumper cover against the body. These clips must be sealed with grey gasket maker silicone. If you wet the top portion of the bumper cover on the side panel you should see the water seeping into the trunk area.

![]() ![]() Found drain plugs along the rocker panels (not the front ones, we got those many moons ago). We pulled them to get a flood of water (literally gallons) out of the right side rocker (under the right rear door). Pulled the plugs from the left and it was totally dry. That solved the mystery. Now I wonder how the rocker got filled with water in the first place. Glad we got it before the cold weather froze everything solid and split something wide open. Len ![]() |

Hey Len, could you describe where these drains are or what they look like?
We have the ton of water in the passenger rear problem which I'm guessing is the same thing, but I don't want to go messing with the wrong thing, and nothing looked immediately obvious. The only thing that seemed like it should be a plug is textured over, so that didn't seem right.
