2006 Cayenne turbo S
Hi All, Just wanted to know what the general consensus is on the 06 turbo s? Looking at one and like everything so far. How are the 06's for reliability? I have owned 911 and 930's for the past 25 years and wanted to add a Cayenne to the collection to keep the miles down on the 930. Thought on the 06 turbo S? The one I'm looking at has under 60K miles on it and has been kept up on the service at local Porsche dealer.
Thanks in advance. |
The '06 is supposed to be an improvement over the ''04 Turbo that I have...both in HP and reliability. My '04 has only needed relatively minor repair. Tires are pricey and gas mileage is not great though.

Thanks for the reply. Are there shop manuals available for the 06 Cayenne? Since I do my own work I'll need a manual. Any recommendations? Having a PPI done today.

The '06 Turbo S has unique, one-year-only brake pads and rotors that are only for that model, so the dealer may be the only place to find them, and yes, they are priced accordingly.

If the PPI turns out good, and the price is right I say go for it. Mine (05) has been a rock solid vehicle. It hauls the family, tows our camping trailer, and is my winter DD and I haven't had a single issue with it for the years I've owed it.
I'm now thinking of selling only because I need more room. A dog, bikes and kayaks while camping dictates a truck... Good hunting |
