Idling issue
My engine idling revs from 900 rpm's to 1200 and back down is there anyway to check on this. I have a 6cyl 08 with 120,000 miles
Thanks for help. Matt |
Maybe you need to clean the throttle body and MAF's (Turbo has 2). needless to say Be Careful.
This morning my Turbo would not idle for more that a minute. I just got it and needed to check the condition of the air filters and such anyway. So, good excuse to poke around. I use a couple of CRC products. don't use the throttle body cleaner on the MAF. (according to the directions. I decided not to pull the hoses to get to the throttle body and just did the MAF's and a sensor infront of the throttle body. Idles now and is much smoother than before. good luck. update us on what you find. on my Turbo the screws for the MAF are a 5 point security screw. good luck |
I believe my idling issue is perhaps a crank case ventilation unit causing an uneven idle in park and neutral. Could this be a vacuum tube or some type of hose? Has any experienced this?
Thanks |
Matt, I have a 2000 Boxster S and at idle/neutral it revs up down from 500-900 constantly.
Currently at Dealer where I purchased it to have it looked at..>Will Advise.. |
