2004 Porsche Cayenne S engine seized !!
 

Mine just died with 114k! :(
I always did maintenance on time/early, at the dealers,...
On a 30 below day in MN a few weeks back, went.out at the end of the business day and attempted to start. Started after a few seconds where it seemed like the battery might be acting funny (but is brand new) and it started and was running ROUGH so I stopped it in about 5 seconds and had it towed to the dealer

They said the engine had SEIZED and they had seen this on 2 other 2004s recently. State $15K at two places for a rebuilt PLUS install.
The thing is only worth about that used with a supposedly good engine. They said it could have frozen so the oil pump wasn't delivering oil - hard to believe I could score all cylinders in seconds!

Anyone know a good place in MN to do an engine swap for a more realistic price?????

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I was trying to find someone to replace the motor in the Minneapolis area, for a good/fair price, not just source the motor

I don't trust myself to replace the motor :)
