Removal of air compressor pump

I am finally getting around to repairing my air compressor pump. However, the first step is pretty daunting. Removal of the protective shroud/sill looks scary. Does anyone know which fasteners have to come off and which don't? Thanks in advance.

I just did this yesterday. There around 8 or 9 torques head screws to take out. It's very easy. I don't have a lift so I just drove up some ramps on the right side and lowered the suspension to loading level. I took the cover off and disconnected the 2 electrical connectors that are on the bottom, disconnected the large black hose on the bottom with the two connectors and swung it to the side. I proceeded to unscrew the bottom hose connections on the rear lower side. I didn't unscrew them all the way until all of the air bled out. When they were done, I did the top row the same way, then I removed the 3 bolts that holds the pump. Be careful when lowering and disconnect the third electrical connector. You'll need to remove the temp sensor and work out the rubber mounts slowly as not to destroy them. Swap the pump and put it back in in the reverse order. When you start the car up the first time you'll get an Air Suspension Warning for a while until it builds up pressure and then my warning disappeared. I put the repair kit in the old pump about about a year ago hoping that would cure the problem for along time but don't waste your time and bite the bullet and get a new compressor from Arnott for $775. That was the cheapest I could find although Ebay has them but I wasn't going to take a chance or you could get a better repair kit from ECS Tuning for $175.

Do you remember the size or location of the Torx screws? I am paranoid about removing hundreds of extra fasteners from this.

The cover is black plastic right inboard of the rocker panel. They are just inside of the rocker itself but it hangs slightly lower and no more than a foot inward from that. The plastic goes from basically jack point to jack point. T30. It might weight 5 lbs(2kg) max. If you have that side in the air, it should fairly clear. I took my time and it was about a 3 hour job by the time you loosen all of the fittings and let them bleed down.

I feel incredibly dense. I still can't figure it out. It appears that the bottom part of my running board is a full foot wide underneath the car, made of metal, and held up by at least a series of 13mm bolts. I took a couple out and it didn't move at all. Inboard of that is a piece that hangs a few inches higher from the ground than the previous piece. This appears to be a heat shield and is held in place with a series of T30 screws and numerous other fasteners above the exhaust pipes. I can't find any black plastic pieces. Does anyone have pictures? Maybe something will become apparent to me that way.
