Help with code P2451 please!
Hi, I'm getting code P2451 with a Durametric on my 2005 Cayenne Turbo. I clear it, but it comes back pretty quickly. Durametric says:
P2451: Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Sense Circuit - Value below lower limit value, test conditions are not-completed, fault is currently active and causing a DTC light I've searched all over, but can't find anyone who has had this issue and successfully fixed it. Does anyone have any ideas of how to tackle this? If it makes a difference, this started after my coolant pipes burst and I had them replaced. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but I would guess so since it was the same exact time? Thanks in advance for any and all help! ...Josh |

Check to make sure that the vacuum connection on the back of the intake manifold is connected, and also make sure that the vacuum connection at the LDP is connected. The LDP is in the right rear fender area ahead of the wheel. A good visual inspection of the electrical connection on the LDP is a good idea too. The last check would be to use a vacuum pump on the LDP (small vacuum line connection) and make sure that it holds vacuum. There is a diaphragm in there that sometimes fails. Let me know how it goes!
