Sagging headliner repair

Does anyone have some good tips on regluing the headliner in my 2004 Cayenne? It is sagging throughout the center of the front seat area (the side edges where the roof has contour are intact) and the rear seat area but seems to be still up in the far rear. I think it would be easier for me to get a good looking result if I can glue it without removing the parts that are still intact. I just don't know how to get the glue above it or what glue to use. Thanks in advance.

No real advice but some recent experience on the topic...

Had a headliner redone with non-oem parts (work sub contracted by P dealer) and disliked it so much that I just got my car back today with a new OEM ($$$) headliner in.

The initial job was done with correct alancantra (sp?) and looked good, when you pressed on it you could feel soft foam beneath it which I did not like (mushy feeling) and sliding sunroof cover was stiff to use.

Initial job 1/2 K and later job several K....

Would have tried harder to re-glue if I knew.

I would presume a full removal of fabric - if possible - and 3M spray adhesive to replace it. Obviously after removal of the headliner and it's support material first.

Good luck...

I don't have a sunroof, so life is a little easier. But I don't particularly want to remove the fabric since the difficult parts are still firmly stuck to the car. Maybe I can get above it to spray adhesive in by removing the sunglasses holder etc.?

Headliner has a foam backing that breaks down and this is what causes the headliner fabric to sag. To repair properly all of the headliner must be removed and replaced. Also would advise that the sunroof be slid out and the fabric and backing replaced at the same time since it can only be properly repaired and removed after the headliner has been removed. Totals cost with labor parts will run about 1500 to 2K. Not an easy job since all of the trim and pillar trim must be removed.
